There are data that initiate a correlation between some expression patterns and a worse prognosis in clear-cell RCC (ccRCC), such as lower expression patterns in AGXT, PTGER3, and SLC12A3, or a reduced survival such as with higher expression patterns in ALOX5 [7], or high expression patterns of MXD3 as an independent risk factor for poor prognosis in ccRCC [8]. Here, ALOX5 is linked to nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
