At day 5 of induction therapy, circulating leukemia-derived EVs were still detected; at day 10 of treatment onwards, the patient showed profound pancytopenia and the CD133 and CD44 signatures as well as the signatures of EVs derived from other blood cell populations such as platelets became undetectable by capture beads immunoassay (Figure 7B).
