We found that two of PPP genes, 6-phosphogluconolactonase (PGLS) and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (PGD) were significantly upregulated (p < 0.0001) in GBM patients compared to healthy patients while expression of glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) was found to be significantly downregulated (p < 0.001) in GBM patients than in healthy patients (Figure 2B). This evidence concerns the gene PGD and glioblastoma.
