CRP and aspergillosis: We found that the levels of inflammatory biomarkers (WBC, CRP, IL-6, and ESR) were significantly increased in the non-survivor group, and the multivariate Cox regression analysis found that the elevated CRP level (>14.1 mg/L) was closely correlated with poor prognosis of patients with proven aspergillosis (HR: 6.3, CI: 1.2–34.3, P = 0.033), which was similar to the results of a previous study (16).
