Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age >55 years (OR: 0.56, 95% CI: 0.37–0.86, p = 0.007), tumor size of 2–3 cm (OR: 1.64, 95% CI: 1.03–2.60, p = 0.037), tumor size >3 cm (OR: 2.04, 95% CI: 1.14–3.57, p = 0.015), submucosal invasion (OR: 3.44, 95% CI: 2.16–5.61, p < 0.001), histological subtype of Sig (OR: 2.27, 95% CI: 1.08–4.75, p = 0.029), histological subtype of Por (OR: 3.48, 95% CI: 2.08–6.03, p < 0.001), and HER2 positivity (OR: 2.66, 95% CI: 1.52–4.62, p < 0.001) were independent risk factors for lymph node metastasis in EGC (Table 1). Here, ERBB2 is linked to metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
