In terms of breast cancer, three cohorts (E-TABM-158, GSE9195 and GSE7390) showed high PTPRO expression were linked to poorer prognosis (DMFS HR = 2.51, 95% CI = 1.27 to 4.98, Cox P = 0.008; RFS HR = 3.36, 95% CI=1.03 to 10.97, Cox P = 0.04; DMFS HR = 1.41, 95% CI = 1.00 to 1.98, Cox P = 0.05), however, one cohort (GSE7849) showed high PTPRO expression were related to better prognosis (DFS HR = 0.56, 95% CI = 0.33 to 0.95, Cox P = 0.03). This evidence concerns the gene PTPRO and breast carcinoma.
