It was shown that cinnamaldehyde played important roles in both CVDs and MetS (patients suffering from type 2 diabetes (T2D), and glucose/insulin metabolism disturbance or insulin resistance, and was involved with at least two of the following four items: hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, and microalbuminuria defined by the WHO criteria) (Mollazadeh and Hosseinzadeh, 2016). This evidence concerns the gene INS and metabolic syndrome.
