These seven pathways, which reached 5% FDR in both GWAS and RNASeq analysis, are MHC Class II antigen presentation, TCR signaling, factors involved in megakaryocyte development and production, Rig I like receptor signaling pathway, DDX58 IFIH1 mediated induction of interferon alpha-beta, and regulation of toll-like receptor signaling pathway, all of which are involved in inflammatory responses, highlighting the importance of immune processes in AD (Cunningham, 2013; Heneka et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene RIGI and Alzheimer disease.
