In this study, we decided to focus on the effects of including a baseline into modeling for the ratios introduced by Esmaeli et al. (7), i.e., the PC-to-PE, GPC-to-GPE, and GPC-to-PE ratios, as their results on glioma xenografts in tissue extracts and in vivo demonstrated the potential to discriminate wildtype and mutant IDH species. The gene discussed is GYPC; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
