The decrease of fE/I in STXBP1 syndrome was observed in the frequency range of 12–24 Hz, which is a frequency range that has previously been associated with GABAergic signaling (Feshchenko et al., 1997; Jensen et al., 2005; Frohlich et al., 2016, 2019), and which approximates the frequency range in which LRTC alterations are observed (beta range). This evidence concerns the gene STXBP1 and Down syndrome.
