Consistent with the effects of C. hypnaeoides on hepatic parameters of oxidative stress and inflammation, the HF-induced elevation of serum MDA, TNF-α, and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) levels was ameliorated by C. hypnaeoides supplementation in a dose-dependent manner (Table 2).
