Our data showed reduced mRNA levels and methylation of the 3 genes in breast cancer cell lines and tumour tissues consistent with previous studies which have reported that promoter methylation mediated silencing of WIF1 and DACT2 was observed in 63.3% (95/150)62 and 73% (107/147)33 of primary BC tissues. The gene discussed is DACT2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
