Therefore, the present study was undertaken to investigate the pathophysiological roles of α7nAChRs on pDCs in the pathology of UC by using a murine oxazolone (OXZ)-induced Th2-dominant colitis model30 with BALB/c mice, a Th2-dominant strain, but not C57BL/6, a Th-1 dominant strain, and to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms, which leads to an understanding of the pathological mechanisms of UC, thereby facilitating the development of innovative therapeutic agents for UC treatment. Here, CHRNA7 is linked to colitis.
