Inositol polyphosphate-5-phosphatase F (INPP5F, also known as Sac 2) is a member of inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatases, which has been demonstrated to hydrolyze different type of phosphoinositide and exhibit different functions, such as regulating endocytic recycling [8], attenuating heart hypotrophy [9], participating in the onset of Parkinson’s disease [10]. The gene discussed is INPP5F; the disease is Parkinson disease.
