In a study of Han Chinese individuals that analyzed 6 SNPs associated with AF in those of European ancestry, SNP rs3807989 in the CAV1 gene on chromosome 7q31 was found to be significantly associated with a decreased risk of AF (adjusted odds ratio = 0.75; 95% CI: 0.63-0.89, P = 0.001).34 This evidence concerns the gene CAV1 and atrial fibrillation.
