CDH2 and triple-negative breast carcinoma: Its association with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) was first reported in 2015 (Tagliabracci et al., 2015), as the phosphorylation of a large number of its substrates was identified to play a role in adhesion and migration of MDA-MB-231 cells and U2OS cells, such as IGFBP7 and cadherin-2 (CDH2).
