MTOR and breast cancer: The stimulatory role of mTOR signaling in SREBP-1 expression in breast cancer cells was confirmed by demonstrating that rapamycin, a pharmacological inhibitor of mTOR, markedly decreased SREBP-1 expression (Fig. 6G), whereas activation of mTOR by treatment with MHY1485 enhanced expression levels of SREBP-1 (Fig. 6H).
