For the first time for thyroid cancer, complete response was demonstrated in 7% of the patients with NTRK fusion-positive, larotrectinib-treated, metastatic or locally advanced thyroid cancer, 9% of the patients with previously treated, RET mutation-positive, selpercatinib-treated MTC, and 5% of the patients with previously treated RET gene fusion-positive, selpercatinib-treated thyroid cancer (5, 7). The gene discussed is RET; the disease is thyroid cancer.
