Interestingly, the peaks of fractions No. 4–6 (IgM-bound AIM) from healthy volunteers and patients with NAFL and NASH were higher than the peaks of fractions No. 12–13 (IgM-free AIM), whereas the peaks of fractions No. 12–13 (IgM-free AIM) from patients with NASH-HCC were higher than the peaks of fractions No. 4–6 (IgM-bound AIM). This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
