AKT1 and diabetic kidney disease: Consistently, the results of our western blot analyses showed that the expression of p-PI3K, p-AKT, and p-NF-кB proteins, as well as the ratios of p-PI3K/total PI3K, p-AKT/total AKT and p-NF-кB/total NF-кB in renal tissues of DKD rats and high glucose-induced HK-2 cells were significantly increased comparing with the normal controls.
