Nine signaling pathways including Staphylococcus aureus infection, glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis, lysosome, osteoclast differentiation, protein digestion and absorption, ferroptosis, cholesterol metabolism, glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis_1, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) were differentially enriched in the highly expressed phenotypes of SPP1(FDR < 0.5), whereas 4 signaling pathways involved in proteasome, ribosome, cytosolic DNA-sensing pathway, and terpenoid backbone biosynthesis were enriched in the lower expression of SPP1(Figure 6(a)). This evidence concerns the gene SPP1 and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
