Increasing evidence has shown that SOCS is closely related to the initiation and development of HCC (36), and evidence has shown that the absence of the SOCS protein or knockout of the SOCS3 gene in mice, leads to the disappearance of the negative regulation of IL-6/STAT3 by SOCS, thus causing continuous activation of STAT3 and ultimately promoting the occurrence and development of liver cancer (37). The gene discussed is CISH; the disease is liver cancer.
