The same results were demonstrated by Yin et al43 in 2015, as their results showed that ectopic coexpression of Oct4 and Nanog facilitated hepatocellular carcinoma cell dedifferentiation and the acquisition of features of cancer stem cells, including self-renewal, extensive uncontrolled proliferation, drug resistance and high tumorigenicity. This evidence concerns the gene NANOG and hepatocellular carcinoma.
