Although no studies have revealed a direct relationship between EMT and M2 macrophages and the prognosis of bladder patients to date, we presume that the upregulation of SORL1 expression may predict a better prognosis among bladder patients as a result of SORL1-mediated inhibition of the M2 macrophage-induced EMT phenotype of tumor cells. Here, SORL1 is linked to urogenital neoplasm.
