Although several small molecule MET inhibitors such as crizotinib, capmatinib and cabozantinib have been used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) [15, 16], only a few MET inhibitors such as cabozantinib and CPDA showed modest activity or preclinical efficacy in breast cancer and TNBC [15]. The gene discussed is MET; the disease is breast carcinoma.
