CCL18 and teratocarcinoma: Previous studies reported the increasing number of M2-TAMs have been considered as a reason of poor patient prognosis in various cancer types, such as breast, lung, ovarian and prostate, as M2-TAMs promote the EMT process in carcinoma cells by producing chemokine.39 40 A further study showed elimination of macrophages from teratocarcinoma allografts mice bring about the increasing epithelial carcinoma cells and decrease it in mesenchymal carcinoma cells.41 Our in vitro study indicated that macrophages in the spheroids secreted much higher level of CCL18 than in the transwell.
