GnRH-II antagonist trptorelix-1 (Trp-1) induces autophagosome formation, AKT phosphorylation reduction and c-Jun NH (2) terminal kinase phosphorylation elevation in prostate cancer cells, indicating that GnRH-II antagonists-mediated autophagic degradation may contribute to the treatment of prostate cancer (Kim et al., 2009). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and prostate cancer.
