Inhibition of miR-128 attenuates, whereas overexpression of miR-128 drives Wnt1/β-catenin activation coupled with hypertrophic aggravation and cardiac dysfunction, suggesting miR-128 acts as a co-activator of Wnt1/β-catenin in cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure. This evidence concerns the gene WNT1 and cardiac hypertrophy.
