Elevated levels of Lp(a) were positively associated with the unfavorable functional outcomes of stroke as evaluated by mRS score ≥ 3 at 3 months [Quartile 4 vs. Quartile 1, OR 1.33, 95% CI 1.11–1.61, p < 0.0001] and at 1 year [Quartile 4 vs. Quartile 1, OR 1.25, 95% CI 1.04–1.51, p < 0.0001]. This evidence concerns the gene LPA and stroke disorder.
