The prevalence of IgG seropositivity in study participants of 46.09% was higher than the rate of 20.8 (95% CI 17.2–23.5) of individuals with either IgM or IgG seropositivity in a cross‐sectional serosurvey done in Lima at mid‐2020,15 suggesting a high intensity of prior infections in the study area.
