For SPIN1, TBB5, VIME and TPM4, significance in their cytoplasmic staining could be detected between cancer and normal epithelium cells: while VIME had higher protein levels in benign prostate tissue (p = 0.027, Table 3), SPIN1, TBB5 and TPM4 showed higher expression in cancer tissue (p = 0.042, p = 0.001 and p = 0.016, respectively, Table 3). The gene discussed is SPIN1; the disease is cancer.
