Particularly, we could show that the expression of SATB1 in only one randomly chosen tissue core cannot predict OS, whereas counting the number of tissue cores with a high SATB1 expression or defining a tumor as SATB1 positive when at least one of four tissue cores per patient showed a high SATB1 expression could reveal SATB1 as an predictor for longer OS. The gene discussed is SATB1; the disease is neoplasm.
