IGHG3 and autoimmune disease: COVID-19 is scrutinized by C1q [4], likely provoked by the expression of IgG1 and IgG3 (as can be seen in anti-acetylcholine receptor antibody-mediated Myasthenia Gravis and various other complement-activating autoimmune diseases which may share common HLA haplotype mutations) to initiate the overwhelming, disproportionate, and often lethal complement-mediated immune response, which directs the MAC against the virus and injures the lungs and other end organs such as the kidney and nervous system in the process.
