AML is associated with a high frequency of mutations in genes involved in DNA methylation, including DNA methyltransferases (DNMTs); DNMT1, DNMT3A, and DNMT3B [3], and DNA demethylases; ten-eleven translocation 2 (TET2) [4] and Wilms Tumor 1 (WT1) [5,6]. Here, TET2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
