Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma is found in the extremities and is considered a rare aggressive subtype driven by PAX3-FOXO1 and PAX7-FOXO1 translocations which are present in 80–85% of alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma patients (Barr et al., 2002). The gene discussed is FOXO1; the disease is alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.
