In order to exclude a possible confounding effect of overweight and obesity on Apo-B and the Apo-B/Apo-A1 ratio, a separate analysis of CCS (n = 29) and controls (n = 32) with a normal weight (BMI <25 kg/m2) was done: CCS had higher Apo-B of 0.85, 95% CI [0.78–0.92] vs 0.69, 95% CI [0.62–0.76], p = 0.001 and Apo-B/Apo-A1-ratio of 0.58, 95% CI [0.52–0.64] vs 0.48, 95% CI [0.42–0.54], p = 0.016. This evidence concerns the gene APOA1 and Obesity.
