To further explore the specific molecular mechanism of this phenomenon, we assessed four transcription factors of Galectin-9 (AR, CEBPA, CEBPB, and TFAP2C) and found that CEBPA on chromosome 19q played a leading role in the transcriptional regulation of Galectin-9 in gliomas. The gene discussed is CEBPB; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
