We observed that liver homogenate levels of all tested cytokines (IL-4, IL-13, TGF-β, TNF-α, IL-17, IFN-ɣ and IL-10) were considerably elevated in the livers of animals undergoing three cycles of infections (3°) when compared to less infected-treated animals (1° & 2°) supporting the observed aggravated fibropathology for animals undergoing more cycles of infection-treatment upon a more extended period of exposition (apparent after 25 weeks but not 15 weeks of follow-up). This evidence concerns the gene IFNA1 and infection.
