Surprisingly, patients with loss of HLA-A and/or HLA-B in their tumours had improved PFS compared to tumours expressing both HLA-A and HLA-B (1-year PFS 30.9% median PFS 4.8 months, versus 1-year PFS 5.6%, median PFS 1.8 months). The gene discussed is HLA-B; the disease is neoplasm.
