CuE (0.25 and 0.5 mg/kg) post-treatment for 28 days daily in rats exposed to CH attenuated the lipid peroxidation (p < .05, p < .001) [F(5,41) = 45.64, p < .001], 8-OHdG (p < .05, p < .001) [F(5,41) = 59.65, p < .001], and protein carbonyls (p < .01, p < .001) [F(5,41) = 26.94, p < .001], and significantly enhanced the GSH (p < .05, p < .001) [F(5,41) = 79.92, p < .001], SOD (p < .001, p < .001) [F(5,41) = 41.61, p < .001], and catalase (p < .01, p < .001) [F(5,41) = 58.36, p < .001] activities in relation to rats that had undergone CH and vehicle treatments. Here, CAT is linked to cyclic hematopoiesis.
