GLO1 and schizophrenia: Another group recently reported that significant differences in GLO1 mRNA expression and enzymatic activity were found in the peripheral blood of first-onset antipsychotic-naïve patients with schizophrenia and controls, and that receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed that GLO1 could predict schizophrenia risk (mRNA, P = 4.75 × 10−6; enzymatic activity, P = 1.43 × 10−7) [25].
