With regard to molecular abnormalities in GC, some genetic alterations in gastric carcinogenesis have been clarified, including oncogenes ERBB2, KRAS, b-catenin, and PIK3CA [4–7] as well as tumor suppressor genes TP53, CDH1, p16, and ARID1A) [8–11]. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is gastric cancer.
