Numerous studies have demonstrated that KDM6A is targeted by loss-of-function mutations as a suppressor in various cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia, B cell lymphoma, multiple myeloma, non-small cell lung cancer, squamous-like pancreatic cancer, T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, urothelial cancer, colorectal cancer, medulloblastoma, breast cancer, hepatocellular cancer and esophageal squamous cell cancer (50–58, 60, 61, 67–73, 118). This evidence concerns the gene KDM6A and breast carcinoma.
