When nephrotic syndrome was induced in WT mice, endocytosis vesicles in the basal region of podocytes and transcytosis vesicles in the podocytes increased (Figure 5), which is consistent with our previous report of increased endocytosis vesicles in the podocytes in association with motor proteins, including cytoplasmic dynein-1, myosin 7 and myosin 9 [22]. The gene discussed is MYH9; the disease is nephrotic syndrome.
