Although many previous studies have characterized the phenomenon of CDKN2A/p16 loss in lung adenocarcinoma and its relationship with a poor prognosis [14,15,16], many studies also reported that CDKN2A/p16 expression is not related to the prognosis [17,18,19], or even that an over-expression is related to a poor prognosis [20]. The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is lung adenocarcinoma.
