SIRT1 expression was evaluated in 48 lung cancer patients, and significant correlations were found with S46 intensity (p-value 0.004); higher S46 intensity was associated with higher SIRT1 expression, whereas SIRT1 protein expression was inversely associated with positive TTC5 staining (p-value 0.019 (Table 6).
