AIDS, CD4 count less than 200 cells/mm3, no prior history of prophylaxis with trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole for >12 weeks, cough, dyspnea, pulsi oximetry < 90%, tachypnea, tachycardia, interstitial opacities, and ground-glass pattern were more prevalent in people with PjP compared to non-infected individuals.
