Valipour et al. reported the results of a comparison between circulating VEGF levels in exacerbated COPD, stable COPD, and healthy subjects, and found an increased value of VEGF serum levels for both stable and exacerbated COPD patients, with a positive correlation between VEGF level and FEV1s, but no correlation with age, BMI, PYI, PaO2, or PaCO2 [32]. Here, VEGFA is linked to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
