APOE and COVID-19: Kuo [10] et al. reported that the APOE ε4ε4 genotype was associated with 2.2-fold increased risks of test positivity and of 4.3-fold more mortality after testing positive relative to APOE ε3ε3 individuals, suggesting that the APOE ε4ε4 genotype represents a significant risk for the development of severe COVID-19, as well as death following infection.
