A phase I clinical study based on a combinatory blockade strategy against PD-1 and TIM-3 (NCT03066648) is evaluating the safety and tolerability of an anti-TIM3 monoclonal antibody, named MBG453, as a single agent or in combination with the anti-PD1 antibody PDR001 (spartalizumab), and/or MBG453 in combination with decitabine, in patients with AML or high-risk MDS. Here, PDCD1 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
