We found a higher occurrence of CD8+ T cells (Figure 2B, p = 0.015), confirming the flow cytometry results shown in Figure 2A. In addition, we observed that, although CD8+ T cells were more frequent in relapsed patients than recently diagnosed patients, they were sparse in the tumor area, had a rounded shape typical of resting T cells, and lacked interaction with CD68+ macrophages (Figure 2C,D). The gene discussed is CD68; the disease is neoplasm.
